About Robyn and Laura

The Pink Nest is Co-founded by Laura Summers and Robyn Currie. Brought together by their love of social media and marketing and their want to help small business owners get it right. After all, you're great at what you do, but no one ever taught you about marketing.

The name came from Laura's love of pink and Robyn's business name, The Business Nest, combining the two elements together.

With over 20 years’ experience across brand and agency roles, Laura is a marketing strategist who helps small businesses move beyond guesswork and make confident, informed marketing decisions.

Combining expertise in social media, email marketing and strategy, she helps businesses understand where their growth is coming from, spot missed opportunities and build marketing that delivers real results. As co-founder of The Pink Nest, Laura brings a practical, no-fluff approach to training, helping business owners gain clarity, take purposeful action and grow with confidence.

ROBYN CURRIE

Co-Founder

Robyn is a business mentor who helps capable women reconnect with their businesses, get clear, focused and genuinely excited about them again.

With over a decade of experience building and running businesses, including scaling a multi six-figure hospitality brand and leading large teams, she brings practical, real-world experience to everything she does. She is also the founder of The Business Nest networking events in Berkshire and co-founder of The Pink Nest, with an honest, energising and no-fluff approach that helps business owners move from overthinking to confident action.

About our story...

IFrom corporate marketing and pro-blogging to café owning and hospitality entrepreneurship, we both took very different routes to get where we are today.

But one thing we’ve always had in common is a love of social media, and a firm belief that neither of our businesses would be where they are today without it.

Back in 2022, we both had the same idea: to run Reels workshops for small business owners. Laura approached Robyn about hiring her café as a venue… only for Robyn to say she’d been thinking about doing exactly the same thing.

Rather than compete, we thought, why not do it together?

And the rest, as they say, is history. It’s led to a fast friendship, countless late-night voice notes, lots of laughs and multiple workshops, both face-to-face and online.

Our vision is simple: to make marketing feel more accessible for small business owners. No unnecessary jargon, just practical, action-focused training that gives you the confidence to actually do the thing.

And, importantly, have some fun while you’re doing it.
